Here's some answers to the most frequent questions asked from us:

1. Where do I find this setting in Taiga?

In Taiga, settings are split between Theme settings, Section settings and Block settings

Check in this order:

  1. Theme settings (global styles, typography, colors)

  2. The specific section or block you wish to edit

  3. The correct template (product, collection, page)

If a setting is missing, make sure:

  • You’re editing the correct template

  • Your theme is up to date

If you can't find a setting you can always ask our Chatbot from the bottom right corner of the screen or reach out to us through the contact form. 

2. How do I reduce section width or spacing?

Open the section settings and look for:

  • Content width

  • Padding or spacing options

In Taiga update 7.0.0 we have also added an option to adjust Blog and Page content width separately. 

3. How do I add curved lines or decorative shapes?

The "curved lines / decorative shapes can be created with the Divider section. 


4. How do I add or configure a video section?

Taiga has multiple sections available which support adding videos:
Hero banner, Image with hotspots, banner grid, Image with text, Hero with overlay links, Image duo with text, Image text overlay, Video. 

Supported formats:

  • YouTube

  • Vimeo

  • MP4

We recommend using Shopify CDN for videos (Adding the videos to Content -> Files page in Shopify admin and using the links from there.)

5. How do I create a mega menu?

Mega menus are built using:

  • Shopify navigation

  • Header section settings

Steps:

  1. Create menu items in Shopify (Content -> Menus)

  2. Assign the menu to the header in the theme editor: Header

  3. Enable mega menu for the parent item in header settings

6. How do I disable image zoom on the product page?

Go to:
Online Store → Themes → Customize / Edit theme → Product page
Open the Product section and disable Media zoom.

7. Where do I find the typography or color settings?

These settings are available in the theme settings. Look for a small gear icon in the top left corner of the theme editor. 



8. How do I change the product card layout on the collection page?

You can find the settings from Product grid section in the collection page and additional settings from the theme settings -> Product card tab. 

9. Why is a setting missing from my theme editor?

As we update the theme regularly some settings may change or move to a different place. We always try to keep up to date on our documentation but if you spot any mistakes or need our help please reach out to us through the Contact page.

10.  How do I add custom content with metafields?

Look for the Connect dynamic source option in the theme editor. Once you have a metafield setup you can use the dynamic source option for connecting metafields to sections or blocks.
