Article card
General
Article cards are used in sections like Featured Blog Posts to highlight articles and engage readers with blog content. These settings ensure a consistent and appealing presentation of article cards throughout your theme.
Image Aspect Ratio
Choose the aspect ratio for article images:
- Natural: Retains the original dimensions of the image.
- Portrait (2:3): A taller rectangular format.
- Portrait (3:4): Slightly shorter than 2:3.
- Square (1:1): A uniform square shape.
- Landscape (4:3): A horizontal rectangular format.
Tip: Keep the aspect ratio set to "Natural" to preserve the original image size without forcing cropping.
Media Fit
Decide how the article image fits within the article card:
- Fill: The image will stretch to completely fill the space, which may crop parts of the image.
- Original: The image will retain its original proportions and size, avoiding cropping or stretching.
Text Position
Control where the text (such as article title and other details) appears on the article card:
- Inside the card: Text is placed within the boundaries of the article card, often overlaying the image.
- Outside the card: Text is displayed below the article image, creating a clear visual separation.
Text Alignment
Select how the text is aligned within the article card: left, center, or right. This determines the horizontal positioning of the text for a polished layout.
Show Author, Date, and Content
Enable these options to display the author’s name, the publication date, and an excerpt of the article content on the article card. This adds context and helps readers decide whether to click through to the full article.
