Your customer has found a shoe they like. They scroll past the photos, read the description, and stop at the size selector. Is my usual size right for this model? Will it work for how I train?
That moment of hesitation decides whether the visit ends in a purchase, a guess, or a return.
The product page is where those questions get answered. With Askel, the new preset for our Taiga theme, you can place size, fit and product details right where your customers make their choice. In this article, we look at how these features work together and how to set them up, with examples from the Askel demo store.
Put the size guide where the decision happens
A size chart helps only when customers find it at the right moment. The best place for your size information is right next to the size selector, where the question comes up.

The quickest way is the Size guide block: a size chart link right next to the size selector that opens your chart in a drawer, so customers never leave the page. If you prefer to keep sizing information among your other product details, a collapsible block works just as well, with your own text or a linked size guide page.
What goes inside is up to you: a conversion table, a measuring guide, or a few words on how your sizing works.
How to set it up
- In the theme editor, open your product template and select the Product section.
- Add the Size guide block, or a collapsible block if you want sizing among your product details.
- Add your size information as an image, text or a linked page.
Tell customers how a model fits
A size chart tells customers which size matches their measurements. It cannot tell them how one model feels compared to another. A simple fit scale closes that gap.

With the Attribute insights block, you can show at a glance whether a model runs small, true to size or large, and add a short tip that changes with the fit, like "Go for your usual size". Placed next to the size selector, it answers the fit question at the same moment as the size question.
How to set it up
- In the Product section of your product template, add the Attribute insights block.
- Connect the value to a product metafield, so each product shows its own fit.
- Add your labels and, if you like, threshold messages with sizing advice.

Answer the "is it right for me?" question
Once the size is clear, customers want to know if the product suits the way they train, hike or play. Those details are often buried in a long description, where they are easy to miss.
The Specs bar section gives them a clean row of their own on your product page. Show the few details your customers compare most, and add a short explanation behind an info icon for anyone who wants to know more. The Askel demo uses it for running shoe details like drop and weight. In your store, it could be the material of a jacket or the volume of a pack. The row adapts to desktop, tablet and mobile, so it stays easy to read on every screen.

How to set it up
- Add the Specs bar section to your product template.
- Add a Spec block for each detail and give it a title.
- Connect the text to a product metafield, or connect the block to a metaobject list to show a spec for each entry.
- Add a tooltip wherever a short explanation helps.
Show the difference instead of describing it
Some differences are easier to see than to explain. With the before-after image slider, customers drag between two images and compare for themselves: trail against road, two models side by side, or a material before and after a season of use.

For setup, read our guide How to Add a Before-After Image Slider in Shopify (No Apps Needed).
One page, every answer
Each of these features answers one question. Together, they turn your product page into a short, clear path: the right size, the right fit, the details that matter, and the difference you can see. With those answers in place, your customers can choose with confidence.
All of it is built into Taiga Askel theme, with no apps to install. You can start with the size guide and the fit scale, and add the specs and comparisons as your catalog grows.
